Privacy policy
This policy covers the SoundRev website and its home-screen-installed web app. SoundRev is operated by Rasmus Fransson, who is responsible for the handling of personal information described here.
1. Information used by SoundRev
- Accounts: your email address, display name, account identifier and the information needed to authenticate you. If you choose Google sign-in, account information is also exchanged with Google for that sign-in.
- Collaboration: project names and type, membership, invitation links, audio uploads and version information, comments, replies, time selections and completion status. Audio and comments may contain personal information that you choose to upload.
- Technical information: website and sign-in requests involve technical information such as IP address, browser information and request details. Hosting and authentication services may handle operational and error information when delivering the service.
- Contact: information you send when asking for support or exercising privacy rights.
2. Why information is used
Information is used to provide your account, store and play audio, enable comments and project collaboration, deliver downloads, handle support and privacy requests, and maintain the service. Where European data-protection law applies, providing the service you request is based on performance of our agreement with you. Service security and necessary operational troubleshooting are based on legitimate interests, balanced against your rights. Legal obligations may require certain information to be retained or disclosed. If a separate optional activity requires consent, it must be explained when that consent is requested.
3. Project sharing and recipients
Project members can access the project's audio and comments, see contributor display names, and download uploaded audio. Someone who receives a valid project invitation link can sign in and join. Only send links to people you intend to give access to, and avoid uploading personal information without appropriate permission.
Downloaded copies can remain with recipients even after a project is removed. Removing content from SoundRev cannot remove copies another person has already saved.
SoundRev relies on hosted infrastructure, including Lovable Cloud for the service's data, file storage and authentication. Google processes information when you choose Google sign-in; fonts are also loaded from Google. These providers may involve other infrastructure providers and process information in other countries. Their processing arrangements, storage locations and transfer safeguards depend on the service and applicable provider terms. Contact the operator for information relevant to your use before uploading content with specific location or confidentiality requirements.
Relevant provider information: Lovable privacy policy and Google privacy policy. Information may also be disclosed where legally required.
4. Storage in your browser
SoundRev uses browser storage to maintain sign-in and remember the destination you requested during sign-in. Signing out ends the app's signed-in session; you can also clear the site's stored data through your browser. Clearing browser data does not delete your account or uploaded files.
5. Retention and deletion
Account and project information is kept while needed to provide your account and the projects you participate in. A project owner can request project deletion through the app. For account deletion, removal of your contributions or a broader personal-data deletion request, email the contact below from your account email address. There is not yet an in-app account-deletion control.
The operator will verify the request and explain the scope of deletion, including its effect on shared projects. Information should not be kept longer than needed for the service or a justified legal, security or dispute-related purpose. Provider logs and backup copies may follow separate retention cycles; deleting active content does not promise immediate erasure of every backup. Contact the operator for the applicable details. This policy does not promise a fixed backup-removal deadline.
6. Your rights and choices
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access, correction, a copy or portability of your information, deletion, restriction of processing, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw that consent. Requests may require identity verification and may be subject to legal exceptions.
Email the contact below to make a request. Where European data-protection law applies, requests are generally answered within one month; a permitted extension and its reasons will be communicated when necessary. You may also complain to the relevant supervisory authority, including Sweden's Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten (IMY).
7. Security and sensitive content
Do not share account credentials or invitation links with unintended recipients. No online service or recipient-controlled copy can be guaranteed secure. Contact the operator if you suspect unauthorized access. Avoid uploading sensitive personal information or information about children without first discussing the necessary permissions and safeguards with the operator.
8. Policy updates
Changes will be published on this page with an updated date. Material changes affecting your information will be communicated when required by applicable law.
